The proprietor welcomes me back, and notes it's been a while since my last visit. This is a good trick. All you restaraturds out there take notice. :)
There is no Diet Coke. I am reduced to drinking lemon, lime and bitters. Not very slimming.
It's Tuesday, a very quiet day for restaurants, so there's no one else here. The proprietor has a yarn with me for a few minutes.
This is fairly minimalist pasta. The crab disintegrates, but imparts a strong seafood taste to the pasta. I can also taste the chilli. However, there really aren't any chunks of anything in here. The bits of spinach don't change the sensation of eating boiled pasta.
It's interesting to have these extra tastes, but only the texture of pasta.
With a chocolate sauce and vanilla bean ice cream.
The cake has a reasonable chocolate flavour, but nothing out of the ordinary.
I'm not a huge fan of the texture of this cake. It's a gluten-free cake. It has a kind of a mushy texture, rather than a texture that's more like bread. It's made of almond meal, so it's very nutty in flavour. Just like me. :)
