Review
Welcome to the Feed Report, the #2 Adelaide food blog! (Urbanbspoon '15) I'm Daniel Piechnick.
Between 2013 and 2015, I visited and reviewed almost every remotely fancy restaurant in Adelaide (other than the crap ones, and lunch-only places.) I now only report occasionally, to add new restaurants.
I can't cook, and have no understanding of fine cuisine, other what I know from eating it. As such, I believe I'm uniquely unqualified to write about this topic. I just give high ratings to whatever tastes good.
This place isn't super expensive, but I'm giving it a try anyway. It certainly looks fancy. At least it won't leave me in the singa- poor house. :D
I ask the waiter for something that doesn't have any coriander. He...
This place looks like a little boutique shop in Burnside Village, but is actually a reasonably fancy restaurant. There's not much French cuisine in Adelaide.
I did a bit of French at school, and I also have a map of the...
The place is packed tonight. I hear a lot about this place, and I know it's popular.
This also happens to be the epicentre of bad parking in Adelaide. I can expect to pay about $20 to park in the Wilson park on Hindley...
I think this place is new. It's full of trendy decor and people.
I'm sitting at a table with a stool but there are other Mother Viners siting on couches.
I don't drink wine, but there's a proper (though very small)...
Have decided to head into town via ye olde train this evening. I'm going to the casino, and I paid $21 parking last night, near Rundle Mall.
It's been so long since I've used public transport that I don't know how it...
Tonight was almost another Feed Fail. I was on my way to Jasmin Indian, but on the way there, I saw a huge ad on the back of a bus. It was an elegant black and white logo, proclaiming The opening of Dine Central, in...
7:00, and the place is full. I'm told there will be a table free in 40 minutes. Don't they know who I am??? I'm a guy who writes scathing and ludicrous reviews about restaurants… :|
7:50 and I'm in.
"Are you with Channel 10, sir?"
Me: "No."
"There's a Channel 10 function out the back."
Paparazzi. They were probably tailing me all the way here.
I ask the waitress, but she hasn't seen any famous people yet. If there...
For a place that looks like a simple seaside cafe, it's actually quite expensive (and fairly good.) Main courses average above $30. One other customer walks out after looking at the menu. Probably spotted coriander on...
I haven't booked, so I'm forced to sit at a table for five people. :)
I'm not sure what a Tombola is, so I check the dictionary. In English, it's "a lottery in which tickets are drawn from a revolving drum." This sounds...
