February 2014
This place is on the corner of South Road and Bradman. It didn't used to be fancy, but the restaurant part is fairly fancy now. Attached are some pokie and pub areas.
I'm feeling jolly already. There's some festival on in Elder park tonight, so parking up here is madness. Normally it's easy to park near an isolated restaurant like this.
Overlooking the Torrens here. Probably the second best restaurant in Adelaide, in terms of scenic views. (Windy Point being #1.)
This little restaurant is nestled amongst houses, in the suburbs if Mitcham. It's popular, so I booked tonight. I've previously just turned up, and had all kinds of cliffhanger experiences. :)
Special deal tonight. $50 for any two courses, or $60 for three. I choose main course and 'zert.
Place has a separate bar at the front, where they ply you with a drink immediately, while they organise a table for you. Good thinking.
Nice to be here for sunset.
Everyone else is in their eveningwear. They must think Windy Point is fancy or something.
One of Adelaide's most prestigious restaurants. Full of well-heeled 50-somethings.
At North, which I believe is the only operating restaurant in the Adelaide Casino right now.
I was here before their closing time last night, but they had already closed.
This place is widely regarded as one of Adelaide's best restaurants. The previous two times I've been here, I've had excellent, simple food.
Tonight, there's a set menu. One of six entrees, then one of six mains, then one of six desserts.
This place really only does steaks. If you want something else, don't go here. Conversely, if you like steak, you probably shouldn't go anywhere else.
I fill out the little card, and send it off, to turn into a meal.
This place just scraped into my Top 20. All the four dishes I've had here on my previous two visits have received scores of 7 from me.
