April 2014
Parlamento is opposite the casino. I've been here a few times before, must often in search of feed, after going to a series of other restaurants nearby, only to find they don't exist. Since then, Parlamento has moved up to Urbanspoon's "$$$" category, making it fancy enough for me to review. :)
As I understand it, this restaurant was set up by people who used to work at Penfolds Magill Estate, which is probably Adelaide's fanciest restaurant.
Tonight is degustation. This is the only other degustation-only restaurant in Adelaide, as far as I know.
This place is unmarked, and sits atop Street ADL, on Rundle Street.
It was a long drive up here. I'm kinda hungry, but the restaurant is full. I'm currently hanging out in the pub section. Lucky I'm wearing my tough leather jacket. I think people will just assume I'm a biker.
Half an hour later, some people come down the stairs, so I head up, and an given a table.
Not sure what El Toro Espanol means. My Spanish isn't quite good enough.
It's Tapas here, where you get a few little dishes. I've ordered four.
Way off west tonight, at Henley Beach.
This restaurant is miscategorised on Urbanspoon. It should be in the lower price category, at which I typically turn up my snout. I hope its good despite that. :)
On the River Torrens, on War Memorial Drive. Underneath the excellent Red Ochre restaurant.
This place has recently graduated to Urbanspoon's $$$ category.
Today is the first birthday of The Feed Report!
Another new restaurant tonight. This place opened last month.
I'm told that the steak is definitely the best thing on the menu.
At a new restaurant for the first time in a long time.
This is the first stop in my New Additions 2014 series.
This place is in the back of the Chifley Hotel, at the far eastern end of South Terrace.
I've now finished my Initial Run of 110 of Adelaide's fanciest restaurants, and the top 50, top 20, and top 5 of those.
Now, it's time to move on to new restaurants.
Here's the schedule for the next few months:
NEW ADDITIONS (15-20 restaurants)
This includes restaurants that have appeared/opened in the last several months.
