A few places down the road is the "Grand Chifley". I'm at the presumably less salubrious "Chifley". :|
The Stirling Hotel is now a complex of restaurants and bars, varying in salubriousness. I'm told I can sit wherever I like.
I'm not sure that a waiter is coming. :| Halp!
There are a few fancyish items on the menu, but it's mostly steaks, burgers, and other pub food.
Apparently this is a northern Italian restaurant. I thought that bit was Switzerland. :|
This is my fifth visit to George's. I'm limiting myself to six visits to a restaurant now. After six visits, I've eaten everything good from the menu, and I find myself eating their worst food. :)
I still haven't seen George though. :|
Up at West Lakes. There's a man playing the piano, which is actually very rare at restaurants.
I'm not sure this place faithfully recreates the experiences of Robinson Crusoe. I'm pretty sure Robinson Crusoe didn't have a wine list on his island.
I checked. The Treasurer isn't in right now. :( I wanted to talk about instant-writeoff for my dinner. :)
I might also have a look around, a bit later. I've got a feeling there might be valuable stuff somewhere in here. Shhh.
There's a lot of buzz about this new restaurant. I'm normally not s huge fan of Greek food, but I'm giving this place a go.
It's in Electra House, near the GPO. This is an old building, with high ceilings. There will be a 50 minute wait before getting into the restaurant, so I'm perched on the very fancy bar room for now, spending some quality time with my phone.
I'll ask again in 20 minutes. Something always frees up. :)
25 minutes later, and I'm in.
At Windy Point, with its spaceship-like view. Although, I didn't book, so I'm not near the windows. That's okay though. The other patrons can enjoy the view, on their special occasion. Windy Point is like my local pub. :)
Press* is unique for both its seating arrangement - long tables of patrons too close to each other - and its unnecessary use of an asterisk.
This place also does a lot of raw meat and offal.
I'll be doing a kind of Tapas deal tonight.
Back at Vile Roy. Food here has been very good on my previous two visits.
There's not much on the menu that I haven't had before, and isn't infested with chilli.
