Spice Market
After at least twenty minutes of parking madness, I finally get a street park. That included driving into one of those “pay and display” vacant lots, and then leaving when the meter there insisted I pay $15.
Slow cooked Arborio rice with saffron, roasted tomatoes, grilled vegetables & spices.
This was pretty underwhelming. This was rice, probably cooked with some soy sauce, and with a fair bit of fine pepper in it.
The vegetables were pretty much frozen mixed vegetables. Peas, corn, cubed capsicum.
There was no texture here, or variation in taste. There was maybe a bit of cardamom in here. That’s it.
Served with candied pineapple & toasted coconut.
The panna cotta’s taste is overwhelmed by the pineappley fruit salad and its syrup on top. However, I isolate the panna cotta from the pineapple, and discover that it really doesn’t have any taste, other than a faint hint of milk. There’s nothing bad about it, however.
I scrutinise the fruit layer, and detect no mango.
