This place opened only recently. It replaces the ill-fated "Olea". That place succumbed to a host of negative reviews from food writers and bloggers. Shame on them. :|
A few places down the road is the "Grand Chifley". I'm at the presumably less salubrious "Chifley". :|
Hoosegow: (n) a prison.
I wasn't sure why a restaurant would be named "hoosegow", or whether there was some other meaning of "hoosegow".
This place isn't super expensive, but I'm giving it a try anyway. It certainly looks fancy. At least it won't leave me in the singa- poor house. :D
The place is packed tonight. I hear a lot about this place, and I know it's popular.
This is the restaurant of the Chifley hotel, on South Terrace.
Meesu very pleased to be here!
I'm shown to my table by a boy of ten or so.
I'm recommended the three Clay Pot dishes. One contains chicken. Meesu not think dat chicken be a vegetable.
As I entered, I had this terrible feeling I'd been here before, but that the name had changed, or this was a duplicate listing.
There's been a bit of buzz about this relatively new restaurant. The place looks a bit warehouse-y, but is packed. I'm seated on a stool, at a kind of bar.
